Card text is the text on the card that describes the abilities of the card and other effects it has on the game. Text on a card always overrides the rules defined in rule book.
The text on a card is officially only there as a reminder. All card are considered to have the text associated with that card name in the official card list, regardless of the text printed on the physical card.
